Lazatiger concept, Dune

Laza Tigers are a special breed brought to the planet, genetically edited descendant of the old earth tiger. They were created through genetic manipulation of original tigers and sometimes used as a training tool in Salusa Secundus. They've Huge fangs, wide faces and enlarged paws. Their coats are an even colored tan, perfect for blending against sand. All Laza tigers were implanted with a control device at birth, allowing them to be controlled by a remote operator with a powerful transmitter. They were all extremely adaptable to harsh environments and could survive Arrakis.

Role in story:

Two Laza tigers were sent to assassinate Leto 2nd and Ghanima on Arrakis, Dune.

Origin of creature: From planet Salusa Secundus, used as a training tool versus the Sardaukar. Extremely adaptable to live in harsh environments with limited water, air and varying temperatures from frost to heat.
